Learn to shoot in aperture-priority, shutter-priority and manual, ultimately having more control over the final image. Finally understand your camera's settings. Night Photo Tour - Skyline and Bridges

Learn how to shoot at night! Some of the most amazing images are captured in the evening. Start by photographing the deep blues of "magic hour" and the Portland City Skyline. Next, shoot the dramatic lights of Portland's bridges. Take postcard quality photos at night without flash! We will also practice a technique called "slow shutter sync", teaching you how to take awesome snapshots in low light with a flash. Also reviewed, a technique called "painting with light" in which

Fundamentals of Photojournalism at the Portland Saturday Market

Do you want to tell compelling stories with your images? Learn the basic fundamentals of photojournalism while photographing street performers, vendors, details and wide angle street scenes at the Portland Saturday Market.
Participants discover how to chose a moment and capture the height of an action.
