Do you have a teen looking to build a resume or a college application? Photography is an excellent addition to any resume. Every business needs photography and being able to contribute, regardless of your position, is an asset to a company.
This lesson is completely custom to your child's experience and interest.
What You'll Learn:
This photo tour is very custom and depends on your child's experience, age, interests and equipment. No specific camera is necessary! There is plenty to learn in photography regardless of what equipment you own. With just a cell phone, I can help your child start to think about lighting and composition which are the building blocks of photography.
We will look at the world in a different way, exploring leading lines, repetition, symmetry and other rules of composition that can be found on every block. We can discuss what is "good light" and how to recognize it. If your child owns a DSLR camera, we can dive into camera settings such as f-stops, shutter speeds and white balance.
At the end of the photo tour, your child will be invited to join Portland Photo Tour Forum. This is a Facebook group open only to those who have participated in a Portland Photo Tour and are interested in learning, inspiring and having fun with photography.

More Info:
Minimum age for this lesson is 13. The price is for 1-2 people, therefore two children can attend. This is a great way to split the cost with another family. Also, a parent can attend with a child and both parent/child can learn and participate in the lesson! Custom pricing is available for additional time or participants.
